War is a racket. The biggest profits and been made by banksters and arms dealers in war and conflict. Military-industrial complex (MIC) is a concept commonly used to refer to policy relationships between governments, national armed forces, and industrial support they obtain from the commercial sector in political approval for research, development, production, use, and support for military. Dwight D Eisenhower coined this term during his farewell address because he worried about the growing power of this axis. During his time America was engaged in a cold war with the soviets. This axis of power the military industrial complex over-hyped this conflict which justified billions in defense spending. A needless war was fought in Vietnam at the expense of human life, however billions in defense contracts were signed and people pocketed billions of dollars. Many politicians after there time in office will switch positions and take executive positions in the defense industry and many in the defense industry will take positions in government. Many high ranking military officials will also enter important posts in the defense industry or in government. Dick Cheney was a defense contractor who became vice-president, and Donald Rumsfeld was the Secretary of Defence before he moved into the corporate world. This has been the norm in America's history. Politicians, military officials and defense corporations all work together. Politician will get rewarded for helping to award certain defense companies contracts by receiving high paying jobs as executives iafter there time in office.
War is a racket, it is used for profit by the corporate oligarchs of the world. The defense industry is so powerful today that it continually needs war to sustain itself. Enemies are molded and created for the justification of huge defense spending. Communists was the old justification and terrorists are the new justification. Without the military industrial complex, the oligarchs of the world would not have the military muscle to impose their will on sovereign nations opposing the new world order.
THE F-35 STEALTH FIGHTER PROGRAM: How the War Economy Contributes to Exacerbating the Social Crisis
There is mounting controversy regarding the purchase of the F-35 stealth fighter jet from US defence giant Lockheed Martin. The Pentagon has commissioned the purchase of 2,443 aircraft "to provide the bulk of its tactical airpower for the US Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy over the coming decades". This massive procurement of advanced weapons systems is part of America's "Global War", largely directed against China, Russia, North Korea and Iran.

The power balance in the world is still clearly the master-slave relationship that was seen in the heyday of colonialism in the 19th century.
The US-NATO-Israel triangle is attempting to gain large amounts of influence over the nations of the Middle East. Simultaneously, the US is engaged in the Asia Pacific region, along with its South Korean ally, in attempting to coerce North Korea into ending its nuclear weapons program, and to maintain the ceasefire...
At the outset of 2011, we find ourselves one decade into a New Age of War.
The War on Terror is reconfiguring every dimension of our lives into its own image.
The psychology of the New Age of War on Terror is altering the DNA of our civilization.
Racial profiling for terrorists is disturbing deep racisms within our fragile psyches, creating fears of foreigners and demonizing ‘illegal aliens’ as if they were all agents...

Just 47 years ago, on November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. This marked the turning of the American National Security State apparatus against its own leadership. After having overthrown, assassinated leaders, and orchestrated coups around the world, the moment its growing power was threatened by the civilian leadership in America, the apparatus of empire came home to roost.

In July, the Washington Post published the Top Secret America project -- a sweeping portrait of America’s heavily privatized military-corporate-intelligence establishment. Lead reporter Dana Priest calls it the “vast and hidden apparatus of the war on terror.”
Priest, who has won two Pulitzer Prizes, described the project as the most challenging investigation of her career. She teamed up with national security journalist...

The War Is Making You Poor Act (H.R.5353), introduced by Rep. The “Report from Iron Mountain” was a 1967 publication that claimed to be a leaked, top secret government report. It argued that though world peace was a nice idea, the economy of war was such a vital part of global stability, it was difficult to come up with substitutes. A hoax? Satire? Or the truth? For more than three decades, the Report has been a cornerstone of intelligent debate… sometimes.
In 1967, a major publisher, The Dial Press, released...

If you’re like me, now that we’re in the week that federal income taxes are due, you are finally starting to collect your records and prepare for the ordeal. Either way, whether you are a procrastinator like me, or have already finished and know how much you have paid to the government, it is a good time to stop and consider how much of your money goes to pay for our bloated and largely useless and pointless military.
WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama on Monday asked Congress to approve a record $708 billion in defense spending for fiscal year 2011, including a 3.4 percent increase in the Pentagon's base budget and $159 billion to fund U.S. military missions in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
